Thank you for participating in this Online Student Course Evaluations Pilot program. UMBC is aiming to replace the current, paper-based Student Course Evaluation Questionnaire (SCEQ), with a new survey instrument called the Student Evaluation of Educational Quality (SEEQ) questionnaire. The goal is to improve student’s learning through better feedback to instructors and the University. Your involvement is paramount in making this transition a success.

Additional Information
- Open Ended Questions (“Blue Sheets”) – After the grade submission deadline, a link will be sent to the instructor so that they may view anonymous, open-ended responses about the course. If you are teaching more than one course, responses will be categorized accordingly. Online “blue sheets” are, and will remain, for instructor-eyes only.
- Monitoring Student Course Evaluation Response Rate – As an instructor, you have the capability to view the student response rate of your course(s). You will receive an email from StudentCourseEvaluations@umbc.edu on November 23rd with a link to take you to see the ratio of students who have and have not submitted the evaluation.
- Mobile Friendly – Students may complete and submit their survey either on a laptop/desktop or on their mobile device (i.e., smartphone, tablet).
